This collection of prints explores themes of caregiving and empathy in relationships often fueled by anxiety and distrust. Brewing anxious thoughts and disappointments to the point that the character hides and avoids the creatures as a mechanism of self-preservation and coping to find some sort of reconciliation. Through symbolism, color, and line weight in these four prints, I explored how the everlasting holding and cherishing of memories illuminates the complexities of mutual empathy and how it becomes imbalanced when communication is lost.
